The cotton flower blossom and create a soft texture, you can keep the shine of the lapel bright by cleaning the pin regularly with any Brass/Copper cleaner. Because the lapel is untreated, it can also take on an aged look if you do not polish it.

Warm reminder:
When copper comes in contact with human skin where it can interact with air, sweat and other chemicals, such as soaps, the oxidation (patina) process can accelerate and that causes the copper to turn brown, green or bluish-green, and stain the skin.

The reaction varies according to an individual’s body chemistry, both in how long it takes for the green discolouration to form and in how pronounced the colour becomes. Some people experience no discolouration. The discolouration, incidentally, is not harmful to one’s health and is readily washed off with soap and water.
